A new partnership between Street Doctor and Women’s Health & Family Services (WHFS) will see the commencement of a new evening clinic each Wednesday in Northbridge.
The co-located clinic is available at the Women’s Health and Family Services, 227 Newcastle Street, Northbridge. The Street Doctor clinic operates as a bulk-billed, walk–in service and anyone is welcome to attend without an appointment. WHFS is offering additional Women’s health specific clinical nurse appointments for cervical and sexual health screening, advice on pregnancy and other women’s health concerns.
In addition, the partnership will expand Street Doctor’s referral pathways to other programs offered by WHFS exclusively for women of WA. WHFS provides a wide range of services including counselling for women and families to assist with alcohol and drug related problems, mental health, stress management, and relationship concerns. There’s also group and peer support programs, including a women’s only SMART Recovery program for any problematic behaviour, and support services for domestic violence and eating disorders.
