Did you know that at 360 Health + Community, our hydrotherapy programs are designed and prescribed by Accredited Exercise Physiologists who are university qualified and can individually tailor exercise programs to help you reach your goals?
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is completed in a therapy pool generally heated between 33-36ºC. It involves water based strengthening and aerobic exercises and often applies a strong rehabilitation-based application.
So, why hydro?
Hydrotherapy is an extremely versatile mode of exercise that caters to many in its diversity. Pathologies that benefit can range from chronic disease to chronic pain, injury rehabilitation to cardiovascular health and those in between.
Many of us live with comorbidities that may limit the amount of exercise we can complete on land or how well we can complete our activities of daily living. Hydrotherapy plays an extensive role in allowing decreased joint impact, whilst enabling resisted loading for an integrated approach to regaining strength and mobility.
Furthermore, having the therapy pool heated beyond 30ºC stimulates blood flow and assists in improving pain free range of motion.
Balance can often be a key factor limiting our day-to-day function, however, having a falls prevention program based within the natural safety of the water allows for the body to be more supported than on land, and consequently less painful on joints.
Our program:
At 360 Health + Community our hydrotherapy programs are run for 60 minutes by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and cater to all ages and individuals. All exercise programs are personalised, based on an initial assessment to identify key needs, goals and appropriate treatment from relevant medical history and medications.
How do you join?
